Jim Tapper

Founder and Chief Executive

Jim is a seasoned talent management, strategy and change management leader with over 30 years’ experience advising FTSE 100 and Fortune 500 CEOs, senior management teams and Boards of Directors. His breadth of experience across sectors and regions of the globe provide a unique platform for his advisory services. Using various psychotherapeutic methods, Jim helps individuals dealing with difficult life experiences including bereavement, relationship problems, upsetting or traumatic experience, depression and anxiety.

He is an accomplished senior leadership development speaker, facilitator and executive coach. He has led and delivered people advisory services in a wide range of geographies, industries and change contexts, including luxury retail, financial services, manufacturing, technology and government.

Before launching Tapper Associates, Jim led leadership advisory and strategy practices at benchmark consultancies including Deloitte Consulting, Accenture, The Centre for High Performance Development in the UK and its parent HR consultancy in the United States, Capital H.

Jim’s career has spanned the public, private and consulting sectors across the globe. He was appointed Deputy Assistant Secretary of Energy in Washington, D.C. and was counsel to the U.S. House of Representatives Subcommittee on Energy and Environment. On relocating to Europe Jim held various senior posts at the International Energy Agency (O.E.C.D.) in Paris and was Chief Executive of Novera Energy, a renewable energy generator in the UK.

Jim is a citizen of the United Kingdom and the United States. He holds Juris Doctor and MSc Psychology (Distinction) degrees, is a member of the British Psychological Society  and is the Founder and Chief Executive of our consultancy.
